APPROACH TO PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES

I specialize in working with women, couples, and adolescent females (ages 14-17) who are struggling with anxiety, panic, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief, loss, trauma, and guilt and shame, low self-worth, and low mood. I also specialize in working with individuals and couples struggling with closeness and connection, infertility, parenting concerns, difficulties with intimacy, and problems with trust and safety.

Taking a non-judgmental and holistic approach that incorporates the mind, body, and emotions, I help to foster healing, resilience, and growth. Sessions are tailored to your needs using integrative evidence-based treatments. Various forms of psychotherapy are used to address your unique concerns. My clinical style is influenced by the work of Hannah Levenson, PhD (relational and psychodynamic), Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD (present-focused and non-judgmental), Steven Hayes, PhD (acceptance-based and non-pathologizing), Aaron Beck, MD, (thought-focused and change-oriented), and Sue Johnson, PhD (attachment-based and emotionally-focused).

I am committed to providing culturally sensitive and individually tailored therapy with individuals and couples in Hawaii.
I offer sessions primarily via telehealth although in person sessions may be available on a limited basis.
